Baking is in the genes, however, the inspiration for my pound cakes came from our wonderful neighbor, Ms. Elda; who would occasionally drop off one of her amazing pound cakes for us to enjoy! For many here in the South, pound cake is a wonderful memory. From the original tried and true recipe, we have added several flavors including our Outlander Inspired cake, "The Tipsy Laird".
FarmHouse PoundCakes are made using the finest ingredients and sourcing local ingredients whenever possible. From high quality flour (unbleached and certified non-gmo), pure cane sugar, real butter, and Nielsen Massey Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla to the farm fresh eggs. We rotate our flavors for the seasons and use what is freshest at the time. Simple ingredients for cakes that are lovingly baked in small batches.
Our Gluten Free cakes are made with an excellent combination of Ancient Grains (amaranth, teff, millet, and sorghum) that give a wonderful texture as well as being a healthier gluten free flour (certified non-gmo and rice free). Our Gluten Free Cakes won the 2016 Grand Prize in the Roswell PoundCake Contest and we are very excited to announce that we are a finalist in the 2019 Flavor of Georgia Contest with our Luscious Lemon PoundCake!
